A festival of ideas
Welcome to the fifth edition of GQ Heroes, our annual summit celebrating game-changers, radical creatives and big thinkers.
Right now, there’s a lot of conversation about a great narrowing of culture – that we’re all doomed to a future zeitgeist of algorithmic news and soulless art. As the GQ team assembled this line-up of authors, athletes, entrepreneurs, activists and artists, it was galvanising to realise that we were most drawn to people building bodies of work that are wonderfully new, weird, fresh, or unusual. The sessions over the next few days will feature the powerful, memorable and stimulating conversations that have become the signature of GQ Heroes.
At this historic moment in Hollywood, we’re also very grateful to be working with a range of friends and collaborators from the entertainment industry. We have worked thoughtfully – and in cooperation with SAG-AFTRA – to tailor all relevant GQ Heroes sessions to respect the guidelines of the strike.
You may already know and love Heroes for its starry and engaging talks and performances. I love them too. But for a few years now, I’ve thought that the real gift of this event is in the in-between moments: the connections we make over coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks. Heroes is a lightning rod for fascinating and dynamic people. I encourage you to make the most of your time here, and connect with those around you.
I’m so grateful you chose to join us for GQ Heroes. Enjoy the days ahead.
Adam Baidawi, Deputy Global Editorial Director GQ

The Venue

GQ Heroes takes place from 19-21 July 2023 and will be hosted at Soho Farmhouse, spread across 100 acres in Oxfordshire, less than a 90-minute drive from Central London. Once on site you can also indulge your senses in the spa and make full use of the facilities, including an extensive gym, tennis courts, spinning room and horse riding.

Agenda

After checking in and welcome drinks with the GQ Heroes team, talks will commence, with the headline keynote taking place in the Hay Barn before dinner at Japanese restaurant Pen Yen. After-dinner entertainment will include a live performance.

On Thursday 20 July, after breakfast, talks will commence promptly, with a full schedule of speakers throughout the day. There will be breakout sessions, chances to meet the speakers and a relaxed lunch. Thursday evening’s gala dinner will be held in the decadent Barwell Barn, including Champagne reception, very special performances, a DJ and the already legendary GQ Heroes afterparty.

Friday will be more relaxed, with a closing breakfast to be taken at leisure and attendees able to make full use of the Soho Farmhouse facilities.
