Born in Pakistan, Azeem Rafiq moved to the UK when he was 10 years old. Having made his debut for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 2009, Rafiq went on to become the youngest player to captain the club. But in 2020, he became something of a whistleblower for condemning institutional racism in cricket – a sport he has dedicated his life to.
