Writer, youth worker and GQ contributor Ciaran Thapar is a graduate of political theory at the London School Of Economics and the author of Cut Short: Youth Violence, Loss And Hope In The City, an account of youth work in post-austerity South London. Thapar’s voice is one of the foremost among those writing about the lives, prospects and media depictions of young people of colour in the UK; his writing has also been published in the Guardian and Vice and he has advocated for young people on TV, in parliament, on radio and in court.
